Remember the NFL trade deadline saga with the New York Jets and star defensive back Jamal Adams? If you don’t, here is some of the backstory.
The Jets took calls on the star safety, even getting the Dallas Cowboys involved at the last minute. Following that, heres’ what Adams said to the media.
"The Rams don't take calls on Aaron Donald … the Patriots don't take calls on Tom Brady. That's where I hold myself, in that regard."

Furthermore, Adams mentioned his name along some of the superstars of football when he learned he was being shopped.
“The Rams don’t take calls on Aaron Donald … the Patriots don’t take calls on Tom Brady. That’s where I hold myself, in that regard.”
Now, Adams is clearing the air with the Jets’ brass; including head coach Adam Gase.

When the two sides met, Adams left the meeting with Gase and the general manager with some warm fuzzy feelings. Equally important, he says they don’t hate each other.
“It went well. I told them I don’t hate those guys. They said they don’t hate me. I have nothing but love and respect for them, you know what I mean? We’ve moved on. We apologized to each other.”
Finally, Adams’ good feelings extended enough that he says he wants to be a Jet and win a Super Bowl in New York.
“We went about it a little different way on both ends. It is what it is. You live and learn. It’s part of life. It’s not going to hurt our relationship or how I feel about this organization. I would love to be here. Simple as that. I want to bring success to this organization. I want to bring a Super Bowl to this organization.”
In the NFL, situations like this crop up so fast that the trade deadline has almost become like baseball. Once thought to be a sport where trades rarely happen, they’re commonplace in 2019. Finally, it sounds like fans of the Gang Green can plan on Adams roaming around the secondary for a while longer without any reservations.
