Jimmie Johnson Favored to Win Sunday’s Coca-Cola 600 on Fox

NASCAR Betting Odds: Even though Jimmie Johnson has not won a race yet this season he is the favorite to win Sunday’s Coca-Cola 600 on Fox. Johnson has won six times at Charlotte and this race could be where he breaks his winless streak this season. Johnson is listed with odds of 6-1 which is just ahead of seven other drivers who are listed with single-digit odds. Here is a look at the Coca-Cola 600 and NASCAR picks.

Carl Edwards                 20-1

Jimmie Johnson

When it comes to racing at Charlotte it is almost always Johnson who is favored. He has been favored at every Charlotte race he has participated in since 2003. He has won at the track six times and that doesn’t even count his four All-Star wins.

Other Contenders

The JGR drivers have normally done well on 1.5 tracks so we could see Matt Kenseth and Kyle Busch do well this week. Other drivers who have done well on tracks similar to Charlotte are Joey Logano who won at Texas, Brad Keselowski who won at Las Vegas and Jeff Gordon who won at Kansas. Gordon is making his 22nd Coca-Cola 600 start and looking for his sixth victory. Kyle Busch has finished second twice, third place four times and fifth place twice in the last seven times at Charlotte. You also have to put Kasey Kahne in the contender category as he has won four times at the track. He was second in both races last year.

NASCAR Picks

I will take Johnson to get his first win of the year at odds of 6-1 and for my longshot I will take Carl Edwards at NASCAR betting odds of 20-1.
