Jimmie Johnson Looks to make it Two Straight in Sunday’s FedEx 400 on Fox at Dover

NASCAR Odds:  Jimmie Johnson is favored to win Sunday’s FedEx 400 benefiting Autism Speaks.  Johnson got his first win of the season last week

at Charlotte and it could be that he makes it two wins in a row in this race on Sunday that can be seen on Fox.  Here is a look at the FedEx 400 and NASCAR predictions.

FedEx 400

This race takes place at the Dover International Speedway in Dover, Delaware and can be seen on Fox on Sunday afternoon. Last year it was Tony Stewart winning this race while Jimmie Johnson won it in 2012.  In the last eight years it has been Johnson winning this race twice, Matt Kenseth winning twice and Kyle Busch winning twice. There are two NASCAR Sprint Cup races held at Dover each year with this race in June and the race later in the season which is part of the Chase. The pole sitter at Dover has won 13 times but not since 2010.

Jimmie Johnson

The monkey came off the back of Jimmie Johnson last week as he won at Charlotte.  He led 164 laps and was able to keep Kevin Harvick from getting past him late. Now Johnson doesn’t have to answer questions about getting his first win for the year.  “More than anything, I just got tired of answering the question. There wasn’t a lot of frustration due to pressure of winning,” said Johnson, “There was frustration in not having fast race cars, but that’s a different situation. We hold ourselves to a high standard. I think we’re onto some good things and have a good direction to go with our race cars.”

Johnson has won five of the past ten races at Dover so his chances of making it two wins in are pretty good. Other contenders could be Kevin Harvick who nearly won last week and Joey Logano who has already won twice this season.

NASCAR Predictions

I will take Johnson to get the win at odds of about 6-1 and I will also take a shot with Matt Kenseth at NASCAR odds of 8-1.
