Kansas Jayhawks – Texas Longhorns Preview – 02.29.2016

The No. 2-ranked Kansas Jayhawks (25-4) will attempt to extend a nine-game winning streak when they match up with the No. 25-ranked Texas Longhorns (19-10) at Frank Erwin Special Events Center. The game gets underway at 9:00 pm ET on Monday, Feb. 29 and can be seen on ESP and ES3.

The Longhorns beat Oklahoma 76-63 on Saturday. Connor Lammert had 14 points, eight rebounds, and two steals for Texas. The Jayhawks are coming off a 67-58 win against Texas Tech on Saturday. Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk led the team in scoring by registering 17 points on 6-for-7 shooting.

This will be the second matchup of the season between these two teams. The Jayhawks won the first game 76-67. Perry Ellis was a top performer in the victory with 26 points, four rebounds, one block, and two three-pointers.
