It’s been more than a month since the Major League Baseball season started, and former Astros ace Dallas Keuchel still hasn’t been signed as a free agent. He’s OK with that; in fact, he said Monday he won’t come down on his asking price at all. Among pitchers who are actually out on the mound, the Indians’ Trevor Bauer struggled mightily after engaging in some playful trash talk via Twitter with White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson. There’s sad news for the Mets and Ron Darling, history for the Giants and a head-scratcher for the Reds closer in today’s top MLB news.

Indians pitcher Trevor Bauer and White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson had a little exchange on Twitter before they met Monday evening. It did not go well for Bauer, who gave up eight runs in less than six innings.
Tim Anderson on his tweet exchange with Trevor Bauer:
“It’s a different approach and it gets the fans to see that it’s all fun and not just we’re trying to take each other’s heads off.”

Reds closer Raisel Iglesias said manager David Bell is misusing him by having him pitch in tie games. Iglesias is wrong about at least one thing: Every closer in baseball pitches in tie games at home.
