There are only four games on the La Liga schedule for this Saturday, which will mean lesser room for error when it comes to building a winning lineup in DraftKings La Liga fantasy competitions. We took the time to narrow down the options and pick out the best possible combination based on overall value. Here is a look at the optimal lineup for this week’s La Liga Daily Fantasy Leagues.
GK: Jan Oblak, Atletico Madrid
Salary: $6,000
Atletico Madrid has opened the season with one win and two draws, but it’s only a matter of time before they pick up the pace and we are predicting it happens this week. Sporting Gijon has exceeded expectations with an undefeated start through three games but that run will come to an end this weekend versus Atletico. Oblak is a solid goalkeeper and the favorable matchup makes him worth the price tag at $6K.
D: Diego Godin, Atletico Madrid
Salary: $4,200
It only makes sense to go back to this matchup with Godin a top option for Atletico. The clean sheet bonus is in play here and that makes Godin that much more enticing at $4.2K. Atletico has had it’s challenges at the offensive end but they’ve allowed just one goal so far this season. No team has allowed less.
D: Ivan Ramis, Eibar
Salary: $3,300
Ramis is off to a strong start this season for Eibar as the sixth-rated fantasy defender in La Liga through three games. That makes him an excellent value pick at just $3.3K. Eibar has scored just four goals so far this season, which makes them a risky play in terms of offense for La Liga fantasy. However, they’ve allowed just three goals in four games this season, which makes them a smart play from a defensive perspective.
M: Gonzalo Castro, Malaga
Salary: $7,500
Speaking of strong value plays, Castro has yet to break through for Malaga so far but could have an excellent chance to do so this Saturday. Las Palmas has been scoring goals in bunches through its first three games so Malaga will need Castro to step up in order to help keep pace.
M: Hiroshi Kiyotake, Sevilla
Salary: $5,700
Kiyotake has a goal and an assist through his first three games with Sevilla this season. He will be relied on to step up for a tough test against Eibar and at just $5.7K he is an excellent value play in La Liga fantasy. Sevilla has scored eight goals so far this season. They are currently second in the standings and their eight goals is the second-highest total in La Liga.
F: Antoine Griezmann, Atletico Madrid
Salary: $9,900
Our decision to find some excellent value plays at the defender and midfield positions allows us to spend big at the striker spots, beginning with Atletico’s star striker. Griezmann has picked up from where he left off at the Euro Cup for France with two goals and an assist through his first three games. We are banking on him building off his strong start this weekend as one of the most expensive options on the board. Atletico Madrid has been fairly sluggish at the offensive end so far this season, scoring just five goals in four games. Hopefully that changes for the sake of our La Liga fantasy lineup this week.
F: Neymar, Barcelona
Salary: $9,800
With Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez listed at over $11K on DraftKings, we decided to take Neymar instead with the hope that he will deliver as part of Barcelona’s attacking trident. Neymar has been limited to an assist in just one appearance this season but he will have another opportunity to make an impact this weekend against Leganes.
FLEX: Stefan Savic, Atletico Madrid
Salary: $3,600
With just $3.6K left over to spend on our final FLEX position, our best bet was to find a defender option that fit our lineup with the money we had left over. Savic should draw the start for Atletico Madrid this Saturday so he fits in perfectly as a sleeper option with decent upside should Atletico manage to register the clean sheet win over Sporting Gijon.
