Lamar Cardinals – Houston Baptist Huskies Preview – 02.15.2016

The Lamar Cardinals will be at Sharp Gymnasium to take on the Houston Baptist Huskies in a Southland matchup. The game gets underway at 8:00 pm ET on Monday, Feb. 15.

The Huskies lost to Sam Houston State 80-68 on Saturday. Cody Stetler was one of the best players for the Huskies, contributing nine points, 10 rebounds, and one steal. The Cardinals, meanwhile, are coming off a 71-67 loss at the hands of Abilene Christian on Monday. Nick Garth had a good shooting night, leading the game with 20 points.

The aggressive Houston Baptist offense seems poised to dominate from the foul line. It ranks 17th in the nation with a FTA rate of 45.4, while Lamar is among the nation’s most foul-prone squads (giving up a 326th-ranked FTA rate of 44.7).
