Toe-to-toe Tuesday PBC Boxing is back with the Breidis Prescott (29-7, 21 KOs) trying to restart his career against Levan Ghvamichava (16-2-1, 12 KOs) in Nice, Calif.
In the primary Premier Boxing Champions undercard we’ll see Malcolm McAllister (7-0, 7 KOs) take on Gilberto “Pereira dos Santos (12-2, 9 KOs). I’ll get you the details as we go.

After his first two scheduled opponents dropped out for different reasons, Levan “The Wolf” Ghvamichava is hoping the third foe is the charm.
Originally slated to battle 2008 Olympic gold medalist Felix Diaz and then 154-pound contender Domonique Dolton, Levan Ghvamichava (16-2-1, 12 KOs) will now square off against hard-hitting veteran Breidis Prescott (29-7, 21 KOs) on Tuesday at Robinson Rancheria Resort & Casino in Nice, California.
The 154-pound bout is scheduled for 10 rounds and will headline the latest Toe-to-Toe Tuesdays card on Fox Sports 1 (11 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT).
A native of the Eastern European country of Georgia now living in Hayward, California, Ghvamichava was initially matched up against Diaz. When Diaz was named as a replacement opponent for Sammy Vasquez Jr. for a July 16 fight in Birmingham, Alabama, his spot on the July 12 card was taken by Dolton.
However, Dolton suffered a cut during training camp earlier this week, forcing him to withdraw from the contest. That opened the door for Prescott, a 33-year-old Colombia native who fights out of Miami.
Prescott won his first 21 pro fights, including a 2008 first-round knockout of former 140-pound champion Amir Khan, who at the time was 18-0. From there, though, Prescott endured a rough stretch in which he split his next 14 fights, capped by consecutive decision losses to Roberto Garcia (July 2014) and Fredrick Lawson (March 2015).
However, the onetime amateur standout rebounded with a pair of victories to close out last year, stopping Kendry Galban in the second round in July and winning an eight-round unanimous decision over Claudinei Lacerda in November.
“I’ve been training hard already, and I’m 100 percent ready for war,” Prescott said. “I don’t know a lot about [Ghvamichava], but I’ll figure him out in the ring quickly.”
Prescott will attempt to hand Ghvamichava his second consecutive defeat. Facing rising 140-pound contender Sergey Lipinets back on March 15, the 30-year-old Ghvamichava was floored by a vicious fifth-round body shot and didn’t beat the 10-count.
Prior to the loss to Lipinets, though, Ghvamichava had won five consecutive fights, four by knockout.
At 5-foot-11, Prescott will enter the ring with two-inch advantages in height and reach over the 5-foot-9 Ghvamichava. But those facts don’t discourage Hunter, who believes The Wolf is ready to go on the attack.
“Levan’s gotta get past Prescott,” Hunter said. “He’s got another level of ferocity that he wasn’t able to show against Lipinets. It’s time for him to step up.”
