Los Angeles Angels – Toronto Blue Jays Preview – 08.23.2016

Tyler Skaggs (1-2, 5.19 ERA) and the Los Angeles Angels (52-72) are in Toronto to go up against R.A. Dickey (8-13, 4.51 ERA) and the Blue Jays (70-54) in a matchup that has the potential for plenty of offense. This is the first of a three-game series at the Rogers Centre. The game gets underway at 7:07 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Aug. 23 and will air on FSW and RSN.

In his most recent outing, Dickey pitched 5.0 innings, giving up one run, striking out six and walking four in a 1-0 loss to the Yankees. Josh Donaldson (.289, 96 Rs, 28 HRs, 81 RBIs, 6 SBs) went 1 for 3 Sunday with one RBI. The Angels were also unsuccessful the last time Skaggs pitched. He did not do well, pitching 3.1 innings, allowing four runs, striking out five and walking two in a 4-3 loss to the Mariners. Mike Trout (.308, 94 Rs, 23 HRs, 77 RBIs, 20 SBs) went 1 for 3 Sunday.
