Last week’s episode of Lucha Underground featured the first-ever steel cage match for the promotion. Johnny Mundo and King Cuerno battled it out inside the cage, with Mundo coming out on top. Last week’s episode also featured an increase in tension between Ivelisse and her boyfriend, Son of Havoc, when Ivelisse lost to Angélico even though Son of Havoc was the special guest referee.
Tonight’s episode of Lucha Underground features Fenix and Mil Muertes going head-to-head after Catrina warned Mil Muertes that Fenix will put him in a coffin and bury him. There is still no word on what Konnan’s plan for revenge is, but there is a chance that it might be factor in tonight’s episode.

Aerostar vs. Drago – Best of 5 Series (Aerostar: 1; Drago: 1)
Aerostar and Drago have had two amazing matches in the past few week. These matches were so good that they caught the eye of Lucha Underground owner and promoter, Dario Cueto. After the last match between these two, Cueto announced that these series of matches would continue in a “Best of 5” series. The winner of the series will be awarded on of Dario Cueto’s “unique opportunities.” This could be anything from a briefcase of money to a Lucha Underground Championship opportunity.
Aerostar hits a super hurricanrana, followed by a springboard splash onto Drago for the win. As with the last two matches, they end with a handshake. Aerostar is now one win away from a “unique opportunity.” Winner: Aerostar
Best of 5 Series Update: Aerostar (2); Drago (1)
The Crew vs. Big Ryck – Elimination Match
When The Crew debuted in Lucha Underground, they acted under the wing of Big Ryck. A few weeks ago, they decided to go their own way, and turned on Big Ryck, burning his eye with a cigar in the process. Big Ryck earned an opportunity to take on The Crew and get his revenge. As big and angry that Big Ryck might be, The Crew has the numbers game in their favor.
With the help of some weapons, Big Ryck manages to eliminate Bael. Eliminated: Bael
After a double suplex to Castro and Cisco, Big Ryck eliminated Cortez Castro with a clothesline, aided by a kendo stick. Eliminated: Cortex Castro
Mr. Cisco starts to retreat, but Sexy Star, who has her own issues with The Crew, stops Mr. Cisco and sends him back into the ring. Big Ryck sets up a chair, and sends Mr. Cisco through it, getting the revenge he has been waiting for. Winner: Big Ryck
Match Announcements:
Matt Striker and Vampiro announce two huge matches for the next episode of Lucha Underground.
- Alberto El Patron will defend the AAA Mega Championship against Texano in a Bull Rope Match
- Prince Puma will defend the Lucha Underground Championship against Cage
Fenix (w/Catrina) vs. Mil Muertes – Grave Consequences
The way that Grave Consequences works is simple. The only way to win is by putting your opponent in the coffin beside the ring, and closing it shut. There are no pinfalls, submissions, or disqualifications, just “grave consequences.”
Mil Muertes has busted Fenix open so badly that he essentially traded in his lucha mask for, as Jim Ross put it, a crimson mask. The fight goes on at ringside, and Mil Muertes accidentally hits Catrina with a clothesline, originally intended for Fenix.
With Catrina’s help, Fenix manages to get Mil Muertes in the coffin, which Catrina shuts to give Fenix the hard-fought victory. Winner: Fenix
