Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks – Howard Bison Preview – 02.15.2016

Mid-Eastern foes will lock horns when the Howard Bison (11-15) face the Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks (8-18) at Burr Arena. Action begins at 7:00 pm ET on Monday, Feb. 15.

The Bison are hoping to rebound after their 90-66 loss to Coppin State on Saturday. James Daniel was the game’s leading scorer with 28 points. The Hawks, meanwhile, are feeling some disappointment after their 75-71 loss against Delaware State on Saturday. Maryland Eastern Shore lost despite the best efforts of Dominique Elliott, who recorded his seventh double-double of the season with 15 points and 13 rebounds.

The physical Howard offense might be getting to the charity stripe a lot in this one. It ranks first in the nation at getting to the line (FTA rate of 51.4), while Maryland Eastern Shore is among the nation’s most foul-prone teams (giving up a 344th-ranked FTA rate of 49.2).
