Metamoris 6 is scheduled for Los Angeles on May 9th, and the all-grappling event is getting attention from offshore sportsbook BetDSI, as they have posted odds on five of the scheduled fights so far. The ground-fighting niche of MMA as a whole is very popular, and Metamoris has the slick packaging around there events that make them look great.
One of the other things Metamoris does is they bring in active UFC fighters for their cards, and their sixth event is no different. Active UFC fighter Joe Lauzon is the most recent addition to the card, as he faces submission ace Dillon Danis.
The two main fights feature UFC veterans as well, as former UFC Heavyweight Champion Josh Barnett competes against the ADCC 2013 Absolute Champion Roberto Abreau. The second big feature has Chael Sonnen taking on Renato Sobral in a match of two long-time veterans of the MMA scene who have fought before but have never competed against each other in the Metamoris format.
Another interesting bout features veteran black belt Xande Ribeiro taking on Kennan Cornelius, who is becoming a fixture with Metamoris. The final announced fight sees Clark Gracie taking on Roberto Satoshi.
Metamoris is likely to add another match or two to the main card. For the last several shows, Metamoris has planned a secret fight that is only revealed live at the event, so there is plenty of reason to look back for updates.
