Miami Marlins – Cleveland Indians Preview – 09.04.2016

Danny Salazar (11-6, 3.88 ERA) and the Cleveland Indians (78-56) go up against Tom Koehler (9-10, 4.02 ERA) and the Miami Marlins (68-68) in the last of a three-game interleague series at Progressive Field. The Indians won the last game 8-3, extending a five-game winning streak. The game starts at 4:10 p.m. ET on Sunday, Sep. 4 and will air on STOh and FSFL.

In his most recent outing, Salazar pitched 5.1 innings, allowing two runs, striking out 10 and walking two in a 2-1 loss to the Rangers. Carlos Santana (.244, 71 Rs, 28 HRs, 68 RBIs, 5 SBs) went 1 for 4 yesterday with one run and one RBI. The Marlins were unsuccessful against the Mets 7-4 the last time Koehler pitched. He went 5.0 innings, allowing five runs, striking out six and walking three. Giancarlo Stanton (.244, 52 Rs, 25 HRs, 70 RBIs) has been hitting the ball well for the Marlins, going 3 for 5 yesterday with one run, one home run, and three RBIs.
