The RedHawks will be looking for similar success after dismantling the Midway Eagles in their last outing, 91-42. The RedHawks had a much better free throw rate (0.219 vs. 0.082) and had a much better effective field goal percentage (0.602 vs. 0.303). With 21 points on 8-for-10 shooting, Nike Sibande was the top scorer from either team.

In the Bison’s last outing, they easily got past the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos, 82-63. North Dakota State’s effective field goal percentage was their largest advantage over UC Santa Barbara. The Bison had a rate of 0.582, while the Gauchos posted a mark of 0.398. With 16 points and six rebounds, Tyson Ward played well for North Dakota State.

The upper-echelon offense of North Dakota State will clash against the mid-tier defense of Miami (OH). Since last season, the Bison offense ranks 33rd in effective field goal percentage (0.550), while the Miami (OH) defense ranks 162nd in effective field goal percentage allowed (0.500).
