Major League Baseball held its collective breath on when one of its biggest stars, Angels outfielder Mike Trout, left Tuesday night’s game with a groin injury. Luckily, the injury doesn’t appear to be serious, but that’s unfortunately not the case for Yankees ace Luis Severino, who had a setback in his shoulder recovery — all while Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw appears ready to return. Elsewhere, there are two lawsuits making the news in baseball for very different reasons.
Mike Trout probably won’t play Wednesday, but he’s expected to avoid the Injured List.
The longest period of time ever measured is between when Mike Trout leaves a game early, and when we find out why.

The news is not so good for Luis Severino and the Yankees, who already have a star-studded injury list that doesn’t appear to be getting shorter any time soon.

On the other coast, the news is much better for Clayton Kershaw and the Dodgers, who look to be getting their left-handed ace back by the weekend.
LA Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw pitched for @TulsaDrillers tonight at OneOK Field in front of a soldout crowd. His line: 6 IP, 2 ER (both solo HR’s), 5H, 6K, 0bb. He is expected to make his season debut with LA next week @KJRH2HD pic.twitter.com/XDY6jwPbAU

And now for the lawsuits. This poor woman broke her finger when the Astros mascot hit it with a T-shirt cannon blast, but more than $1 million?

In New York, Lenny Dykstra has accused ex-Mets teammate Ron Darling of defamation. Yikes.
“Merely to sell books and indulge in public self-promotion, (Ron) Darling has sought to capitalize on plaintiff’s complicated past, and intentionally, falsely and maliciously portrayed plaintiff as a racist” https://t.co/dj1qKqM66x
