MLB Lines – Philadelphia Phillies vs. Atlanta Braves MLBN Tuesday Night!

MLB Lines:  The Philadelphia Phillies and rookie manager Ryne Sandberg are in for a long season as they are the last place team in the National League East Division and the third biggest money losers on the MLB betting board.  The Atlanta Braves are also struggling to maintain profitability on the board with the MLB odds as their lack of offense continues to be a point of concern and frustration.  The Braves will host the Phillies at Turner Field on Tuesday night with coverage on MLBN set for 7:10 PM ET.

Father Time Catches Phillies

The glory days for Philadelphia are over and Sandberg is not going to be able to reverse that trend as he has stepped into a mess with an aging roster that has no viable replacements in the fold.  The Phillies are 13-17 on the road and a disastrous 26-35 on the rune line. The Phillies are ranked 25th for run production, 24th for OPS, and 21st for home runs.  The pitching was no better as they rank 23rd for staff earned run average, 28th for WHIP, and 23rd for quality starts.

Problem Not Solved for Braves

Lack of reliable and productive offense continues to be a problem for Atlanta and offsets their outstanding pitching staff that is among the best in MLB.

The Pick

The Braves have won 10 out of their last 16 games against the struggling Phillies as nine out of the last 15 meetings in this head to head series went under the total. No choice but to take the Braves in this one.
