Without question, MLB umpire Rob Drake may have stepped out of line. Now, baseball will look into the tweet. While I write this post, I wonder what Drake may have been thinking; but we will get to that.
This news was reported late Wednesday by MLB reporter Jeff Passan on twitter.
Major league umpire Rob Drake tweeted “I will be buying an AR-15 tomorrow, because if you impeach MY PRESIDENT this way, YOU WILL HAVE ANOTHER CIVAL WAR!!! #MAGA2020”, according to a copy of the tweet obtained by ESPN. MLB says it is aware of it. News: https://t.co/Qf7VMAXEoJ

Furthermore, ESPN reports that MLB has a copy of the tweet. Now, you also have a copy of the tweet as well. It is below.

Obviously, Drake is in full support of current president Donald Trump and doesn’t want an impeachment. While every person is free to hold their own views, it’s probably best if a public figure already in the crosshairs doesn’t tweet the views. Especially if you’re a baseball umpire.
Still, there was more than just the tweet highlighted. Drake continued with a little more of the rant.
“You can’t do an impeachment inquiry from the basement of Capital Hill without even a vote! What is going on in this country?”
Drake made his MLB debut in 1999 and has been a full-time umpire since the 2010 season.
