Here is Tuesday’s MLB lineup card for your Draft Kings and Fan Duel leagues.
Catcher – Salvador Perez – Kansas City Royals
Perez is a workhorse catcher that brings plenty of potential upside on a Kansas City team that is still underrated by many experts. The Royals host the highly touted but unproven Chicago White Sox.
First Base – Miguel Montero – Chicago Cubs
Montero is a hot prospect for many fantasy managers and the Cubs are expecting a breakout season for him in 2015. Montero is one of the main reasons that the Cubs are getting some playoff love for 2015. The Cubs host the St. Louis Cardinals.
Second Base – Robinson Cano – Seattle Mariners
Cano is a major reason for the Mariners getting plenty of love as an American League pennant contender. The only risk is that Cano is highly coveted and the Mariners are a trendy and unproven team. Seattle hosts the Los Angeles Angels.
Third Base – Matt Carpenter – St. Louis Cardinals
Carpenter is a mainstay for one of the top teams in the game. The Cubs are getting a lot of love as one of the more trendy teams in the game but they are also trendy and unproven. Carpenter is clearly proven.
Shortstop – Jimmy Rollins – Los Angeles Dodgers
The Dodgers are a poor value because so much is expected of them and their absurdly high payroll. Rollins, however, brings more value than many of his teammates. The Dodgers host the San Diego Padres.
Outfield – Carlos Gomez – Milwaukee Brewers
We’ll go against the Colorado Rockies in this one with Gomez, one of the most improved and versatile players in the game.
Outfield – Ryan Braun – Milwaukee Brewers
Braun is expected to have a big year for the Crew and what better opportunity for a great start than at home against a terrible Colorado team.
Outfield – Matt Holliday – St. Louis Cardinals
We again go with a proven player and team against an unproven reach in the Cubs.
Starting Pitcher – Mat Latos – Miami Marlins
The Atlanta Braves are going to struggle to score runs all season and we’ll pick on them with Latos, who may prove to be a key asset in Miami’s potential resurgence.
Reliever – Steve Cishek – Miami Marlins
Again we pick on the punchless and dreadful Atlanta Braves with one of the more promising relievers in the game at a bargain.
Designated Hitter – Jesus Montero– Seattle Mariners
We are not convinced that the Los Angeles Angels pitching staff is all that and we think Montero makes for a strong choice at home.
Sleeper – Adam Lind – Milwaukee Brewers
Again we go after the horrible Rockies with a Brewer first baseman that will be well protected in their solid lineup.
