The MLS season continues this weekend with a full slate of games and that means thousands of dollars on the line in DraftKings MLS fantasy leagues. Saturday’s contests will include all six games for Saturday night and with a full menu to choose from, we have no shortage of options when it comes to building the perfect fantasy lineup.
Here is a look at the best bets on the board for Saturday’s DraftKings MLS Daily Fantasy Leagues.
GK: Bill Hamid, DC United
Salary: $4,400
DC United’s stranglehold on top spot in the MLS Eastern Conference is down to two points after dropping three straight losses. That’s the bad news. The good news is that the skid has driven down the price tag for some of its top players heading in to a favorable matchup on Saturday night.
DC United will visit a Colorado team that has scored the fewest goals in the MLS this season and they should be able to get back on track with the potential for Hamid to record a clean sheet win this weekend.
D: Raul Rodriguez, Houston
Salary: $4,200
Houston is coming off a big win over Vancouver and has a favorable matchup against Real Salt Lake this weekend as they look to close the gap on a playoff spot and keep their postseason hopes alive. Only Colorado has scored fewer goals than the Dynamo’s opponent this weekend and Rodriguez is available at a very reasonable price to plug in at our top defender spot.
D: David Horst, Houston
Salary: $3,800
Sticking with the theme of finding bargain value plays at the defender position, it only makes sense to stick with Houston and turn to Horst for our second spot at under $4K. There is no reason to think that the Dynamo can’t win this game and we feel very comfortable plugging in Rodriguez and Horst at a combined price just $8K.
M: Federico Higuain, Columbus
Salary: $8,700
Columbus is coming off its first loss in four matches but be in a good position to bounce back this weekend when they take on Philadelphia. Higuain has been a monster in the Crew’s midfield all season and as one of their best attackers, we have no problem plugging him in here at a decent price.
M: Frank Lampard, New York City FC
Salary: $5,900
Lampard has yet to find his rhythm at New York City but they will need him to break out of his funk when they take on FC Dallas this weekend. His price tag is good enough that we are willing to take a chance on him here. Lampard is still a quality midfielder so to get him at under $6K is a good enough value to use him in this spot.

F: Chris Wondolowski, San Jose
Salary: $9,400
San Jose is feeling the pressure as they are three points back of Seattle, Sporting Kansas City and Portland for the fourth spot in the Western Conference and they can certainly help their case with a win this weekend. Wondolowski has scored some clutch goals throughout his MLS career and we think he will deliver again this weekend at a time when San Jose really needs him.
F: Didier Drogba, Montreal
Salary: $8,800
Drogba put on a show in his first MLS start as his hat trick made him the top fantasy forward for last week’s action. Drogba is expected to start again this weekend when the Impact visit the LA Galaxy and the fact that he is listed at under $9K makes him an absolute steal for Saturday night’s fantasy contests.
FLEX: Sean Franklin, DC United
Salary: $4,300
After searching long and hard for a player to fit in with our remaining cap space, we made the decision to go back to the DC United matchup with Colorado in order to fill out our roster with a capable fantasy defender in Franklin. DC United should have no problem taking care of Colorado and that makes Franklin a viable fantasy FLEX option.
