Here is your Monday NHL Fantasy Pick Six and Sleeper.
Left Wing – Jamie Benn – Dallas Stars
The Stars are hot but their late playoff push is likely too late. Dallas has won seven out of their last nine games and will host the Calgary Flames at 8:30 p.m. ET. Benn is the leading scorer on the Stars with 27 goals and 44 assists and has the hot hand with four goals and three assists in his last five games.
Center – Tyler Seguin – Dallas Stars
The truculent Flames have lost five out of their last seven games as the loss of top rearguard and team captain Mark Giordano is catching up to them. Calgary ranks 17th in the NHL for goals against and 23rd for the penalty kill. Enter Seguin, the Stars top goal scorer with 33 but with just one goal and four assists in his last five games.
Right Wing – Jerome Iginla – Colorado Avalanche
The Avalanche will host the Edmonton Oilers, the worst defensive team in the NHL, at 9 p.m. ET. Iginla continues to drink from the fountain of youth. The 37 year old Iginla has team high 26 goals and has been red hot in March with seven goals, three assists, and a plus-two. Colorado has won six out of their last ten games.
Defenseman – Tyson Barrie – Colorado Avalanche
Again we pick on the Oilers. Barrie has 11 goals and 37 assists on the season with a solid March in which he has scored one goal and eight assists with a plus-five. Barrie has added two goals and 13 assists on the power play.
Defenseman – P.K. Subban – Montreal Canadiens
The Habs have a first place showdown with the Tampa Bay Lightning at 7:30 p.m. ET and have been reeling. Look for Montreal to tighten things back up for this pivotal showdown. Subban has slumped badly in March with one goal and three assists in 13 games. Subban is one of the few players capable of dominating a NHL game.
Goalie – Carey Price – Montreal Canadiens
Price is the reason that Montreal has a shot for the Presidents’ Trophy as the top team in the regular season. Price has an insane .956 save percentage in his last five games with two shutouts. Expect a premium effort Monday night.
Sleeper – Cody McLeod – Colorado Avalanche
The left wing has tailed off badly with just one goal in 11 games in March with a minus-three. Edmonton should provide the perfect remedy.
