It will be a battle between BigSky opponents when the Idaho Vandals (4-12, 1-4 BigSky) welcome the Montana Grizzlies (11-6, 4-2 BigSky) to Cowan Spectrum at the Kibbie Dome. The game is scheduled to get underway at 10 p.m. ET on Saturday, January 19, 2019.

Montana Grizzlies at Idaho Vandals Betting Prediction

The last time the Grizzlies played, they thoroughly outplayed the Northern Colorado Bears, 88-64. The Grizzlies, who came into the game averaging an effective field goal percentage of 0.559, had an absurd mark of 0.638 and held the Bears to an offensive rebounding percentage of 20.6 (below their season average of 31.0). Montana was lifted by Sayeed Pridgett, who was the top scorer from either team with 29 points on 11-for-13 shooting.

The Vandals lost to the Montana State Bobcats in their last outing, 77-67. One of Montana State’s biggest advantages was their ability to convert at the free throw line. They were 13-16 (81.3 percent), while the Vandals were just 7-11 (63.6 percent). Idaho’s Trevon Allen put together a good performance, leading both teams in scoring with 23 points on 10-for-17 shooting.

Montana appears to have the edge on the offensive side of the ball. The Grizzlies rank 69th in offensive efficiency, while Idaho ranks 299th in defensive efficiency.

After the Vandals won the only game against the Grizzlies last season, 79-77, this will be the first matchup of the year between these two teams. Idaho’s effective field goal percentage was its largest strength over Montana. The Vandals had a rate of 0.635 while the Grizzlies posted a mark of 0.526.
