This is a big weekend for boxing, as several big cards grace the calendar, including the “Premier Boxing Champions” broadcast Saturday night that features the Andre Dirrell vs James DeGale IBF Super Middleweight title fight. The co-main event on that card features light heavyweights Edwin Rodriguez (26-1) and Craig Baker (16-0).
In Moscow on Friday, former WBA world champion Alexander Povetkin takes on Cuba’s Mike Perez in the main event of a big card that also features world cruiserweight champion Grigory Drozd facing Lukasz Janik. At the books, the 10-round heavyweight bout between veterans Alex Leapai and Manuel Charr has had a line posted, as has the third cruiserweight fight scheduled for the night between Vikapita Meroro (28-4) and Dmitry Kudryashov (17-0).

Also on Friday, CBS Sports Network will air the 12-round bout for the vacant IBF Inter-Continental Lightweight title bout between Ghana’s Richard Commey (21-0) and once-beaten Bahodir Mamafjonov. The final line that the books put up over the last 24 hours comes to us from Mexico as TV Azteca will broadcast the bantamweight fight between David Sanchez (27-2-2) and Walberto Ramos (23-6-2). Also on that card is the WBC World Female Bantamweight title bout between Yazmin Rivas and Simone Da Silva Duarte of Brazil.
Though the Rivas-Duarte title fight has not popped up at the books, it still may, and the card in Russia also has a women’s title at stake as super lightweight Svetalana Kukakova faces Marie Reiderer for the WBA Women’s title.
