The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series speeds in to Bristol, Tennessee and the Bristol Motor Speedway for this week’s Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race. A favorite among both the fans and the drivers, the night race will once again provide plenty of excitement and drama. The urgency will be ramped up this week with only three races to go until the Chase begins. We took a closer look at the numbers this week to deliver a fantasy roster that should contend for the win in DraftKings tournaments this Saturday. Here is a look at the optimal lineup for this week’s DraftKings NASCAR fantasy competitions.
Kevin Harvick, $9,900
Harvick has quietly put together one of the most impressive stretches of the season by finishing ninth or better in five of his last eight races. There is a good chance that run continues this week at a track where Harvick has had plenty of success in the past. Harvick won this race last year and he has finished third or better in three of his last four starts at Bristol. With 12 career top-five finishes at this track, Harvick should be a lock in DraftKings competitions for the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race this week.
Matt Kenseth, $9,300
Kenseth is another driver that has really heated up of late with top-10 results in four of his last five races. He has also had a ton of success at Bristol throughout his career as one of five drivers to win this event at least three times. Kenseth finished fourth in last year’s night race at Bristol and he has recorded top-10 finishes in 10 his last 16 appearances at this track. He is running out of time to pick up that important first win of the season so look for Kenseth to ramp up the urgency this week.
Joey Logano, $9,000
Logano has finished outside of the top-20 in each of his last three starts. However, that could be a good thing when it comes to his price tag for this week. Logano has won this event twice before and he’s finished in the top-10 in seven of his last eight appearances at Bristol Motor Speedway. That means he is primed to break through this weekend while also being affordable enough to make him the third option on our DraftKings board.
Clint Bowyer, $8,300
Bowyer has flown under the radar somewhat despite some impressive results in the MENCS. Bowyer has recorded top-10 finishes in five of his last seven starts including runner-up results at both Sonoma and Daytona. He has also been pretty good at Bristol with the eighth-best average driver rating at this track since the start of 2015. Bowyer understands how to survive at a track like Bristol and he should be able to put together another strong start in the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race this Saturday.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr., $6,900
Stenhouse’s price tag makes him an excellent value this week as a reliable option that is available at under $7K in DraftKings tournaments. Stenhouse has placed in the top-20 in six of his last seven starts including a win at Daytona at the beginning of July. He also has the fifth-best average finish at Bristol since the start of 2015. At such a low price tag, Stenhouse should be a lock in DraftKings competitions for this week’s Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race.
Ty Dillon, $6,600
Dillon has recorded five straight top-20 finishes heading in to the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race and we are hoping that trend continues this week. He is still available at a very low $6.6K in DraftKings formats, which makes him an excellent sleeper value option. Dillon placed 15th in the first of the two Bristol races this season. Dillon will undoubtedly be worthy of the DraftKings roster spot if he can duplicate that result this weekend. We’re not expecting him to cash in for us here and win this race outright. However, another strong result would help our team out. Look for him to get into the Top 20 – in that range.
