This is the first year that the Nationwide race at Kentucky has been called the John R. Elliott HERO Campaign 300 as it has had four previous names since starting in 2001. It is expected that there will be several cross over drivers from the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series as their will be a Cup race at Kentucky Speedway the following night. Current Cup drivers have been recent winners at Kentucky in the Nationwide race with Brad Keselowski last year, Austin Dillon in 2012, Brad Keselowski in 2011, and Joey Logano for three consecutive years from 2008-2010. The Kentucky Speedway is 1.5 miles in length with an asphalt surface and turn banks of 14 degrees with a tri-oval bank of 8-10 degrees and a straight bank of 4 degrees.
