The Best Team to Bet in the NBA so far this Season has been the Milwaukee Bucks

Jabari Parker is drawing some Grant Hill comparisons early on.

NBA Predictions: The best team to bet so far this season has been the Milwaukee Bucks as they are a sizzling 15-6 against the NBA pointspread. The Bucks barely have a winning record straight up but all that matters to bettors is covering the number and the Bucks have been golden so far this season. Let’s look at which teams have been the best and worst teams to bet on so far this season.

NBA ATS Winners

Milwaukee Bucks: 15-6
Golden State Warriors: 13-6
Indiana Pacers: 12-7-1
Portland Trail Blazers: 11-7-1
Toronto Raptors: 12-8
Atlanta Hawks: 11-8
Orlando Magic: 13-10
Dallas Mavericks: 12-9
Sacramento Kings: 11-9
Philadelphia 76ers: 11-9
Houston Rockets: 11-9
Memphis Grizzlies: 11-9
Phoenix Suns: 11-9-1

The Bucks have been a major surprise this season against the spread as they covered 15 of their first 21 games. They were just 11-10 straight up but they have been underdogs in most of their games this season so taking the points in their games has been the way to go. Since the Bucks are not a public team there will not be any major adjustment by oddsmakers because of Milwaukee’s early season success. The same thing cannot be said about Golden State who is starting to develop a following by the public after their hot start. The Warriors were leading the NBA with a 17-2 record and they have also been solid against the spread at 13-6.

Another big surprise to bettors and oddsmakers this season has been the Indiana Pacers. They were expected to struggle without Paul George and while they do have a losing record straight up, the team has been very competitive and they have a record of 12-7-1 against the NBA spread.

NBA ATS Losers

Detroit Pistons: 6-15
New York Knicks: 7-14
Charlotte Hornets: 6-12-2
Chicago Bulls: 8-12
Minnesota Timberwolves: 7-11-1
Denver Nuggets: 8-11-1
Miami Heat: 8-11-1
Brooklyn Nets: 8-10
New Orleans Pelicans: 8-10
Cleveland Cavaliers: 8-10
Utah Jazz: 9-11
Oklahoma City Thunder: 9-10-1
Los Angeles Lakers: 9-10-1
Los Angeles Clippers: 9-10
Washington Wizards: 9-10

The three worst teams against the spread so far this season have been the Pistons, Knicks and Hornets. It is no surprise that Detroit has struggled and the Knicks are a public team that has no one other than Carmelo Anthony so their struggles are no surprise but Charlotte was supposed to be good this season. They have struggled mightily early in the season going 5-15 straight up and 6-12-2 ATS.

Also, note that the San Antonio Spurs and Boston Celtics have been exactly .500 this season against the spread.
