The NBA returns with only four games on the schedule for Tuesday night. That means NBA fantasy fans playing in DraftKings will have even lesser room for error when it comes to finding the perfect balance between star players and strong sleeper value options. Here is some important NBA fantasy advice to consider for Tuesday’s action.
Weak Defense To Target: Brooklyn Nets
The Brooklyn Nets have dropped back-to-back games and eight of their last 10 overall with their brutal defensive play a big part of the reason why they have struggled. The Nets have allowed an average of 104.8 points per game this season and they are worth targeting with the Charlotte Hornets set to visit them on Tuesday night. Kemba Walker and Nicolas Batum have been Charlotte’s most productive fantasy options but you might want to consider Courtney Lee if you are looking for a strong value option. Lee has averaged 9.5 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.5 three-point shots per game over the last week of action and he could easily top those averages against Brooklyn.
Player Who’s Hot Right Now: Lou Williams, Los Angeles Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers might not win many more games but Lou Williams has been very productive in NBA fantasy of late and that makes him a player worth targeting in Daily Fantasy Leagues. Williams has averaged 23.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.0 three-point shots, 2.5 assists and 1.0 block per game over the past seven days so ride the hot hand when the Lakers host the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday night.
Injuries, Rest Create Opportunities For… Bojan Bogdanovic, Lance Stephenson
The Nets might not beat the Hornets but Bojan Bogdanovic could still be a valuable fantasy asset. He has played big minutes for Brooklyn over the last month and he has really heated up again of late. Remember that this is a guy who only played 23.6 minutes per game in November, 25.3 in January and 24.8 in February, but he’s up to 31.6 in March. As a result, Bogdanovic has averaged 29.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.0 three-point shots and 3.0 assists per game over the past seven days, which of course includes his impressive 44-point outburst. He should be a strong pick in NBA fantasy leagues for Tuesday.
Meanwhile, a trade to Memphis has really helped Lance Stephenson turn his season around as he has suddenly become a very productive fantasy option. Stephenson has averaged 18.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.0 steal while averaging 34.0 minutes per game over the last week of action. He’s really grown comfortable in his role as he hasn’t played less than 28 minutes in any of his last five starts and he hasn’t scored less than 12 points in any of those contests. He barely cracked double-digit minutes in Los Angeles. He should be another strong pick with the Grizzlies set to visit the Lakers on Tuesday.
Highest Scoring Game Of The Night: HOU @ OKC
The Oklahoma City Thunder and Houston Rockets are at opposite ends of the Western Conference standings as far as the playoff picture goes but they are both in the top-five in the NBA in points per game this season. The Thunder and Rockets rank second and fourth respectively in that department and it only makes sense to entertain what could be the highest scoring game of the night when it comes to DraftKings tournaments. Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant and James Harden are among the top fantasy options on the board but it makes a lot of sense to turn to strong value options from both teams if you can’t afford the star players. Michael Beasley has really heated up for Houston of late, including an outstanding performance against the Atlanta Hawks in his most recent game in which he scored 30 points with nine rebounds in just 28 minutes. Beasley is available at a very reasonable price from the Rockets and deserves strong consideration. Meanwhile, the Thunder doesn’t have many players with strong sleeper value but Steven Adams is a strong choice. Adams has averaged 10.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.0 block and 1.0 assist per game over the last 15 days and could be worth taking a chance on in Tuesday’s Daily Fantasy Leagues.
