The final push towards the NBA playoffs continues with a loaded schedule that features 16 teams in action on Wednesday night. There will be plenty of options to choose from when it comes to finding the perfect balance between star talent and strong sleeper value options in DraftKings Daily Fantasy Leagues so we have taken the time to break down the slate in order to help you find the best possible fits. Here is some important NBA fantasy advice to keep in mind for Wednesday.
Weak Defense To Target: Brooklyn Nets
The Brooklyn Nets have dropped five straight and eight of their last 10 overall, falling to 23rd in the NBA with an average of 105.3 points allowed per game this season in the process. They should be vulnerable on the road against the Washington Wizards on Wednesday. John Wall and Bradley Beal have been the most consistent fantasy studs for the Wizards this season but the best option to take advantage of this matchup might very well be Otto Porter Jr. The third-year wing has averaged 14.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.3 three-point shots and 1.9 assists per game for Washington over the last week of action and should be a strong value option matched up against the Nets.
Player Who’s Hot Right Now: Marcus Morris, Detroit Pistons
The Detroit Pistons are in a race for the final playoff spots in the Eastern Conference and Marcus Morris has heated up just in time while helping them win seven of their last 10. Morris has averaged 23.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, 3.0 three-point shots, 2.7 assists and 1.3 blocks per game over the last week of action and is still available at a decent price on DraftKings. He should continue to produce at a high level when the Pistons visit the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night so don’t be afraid to ride the hot hand.
Injuries, Rest Create Opportunities For… Andrew Nicholson, Alexis Ajinca
Orlando will be in tough against the visiting Pistons on Wednesday but it is too hard to ignore the numbers that Andrew Nicholson has provided of late as a potential value play. Nicholson has averaged 14.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.8 three-point shots and 1.5 assists per game over the last seven days and at such a low price tag, he could be a strong sleeper option on DraftKings. Many people have been overlooking this guy in NBA fantasy but he’s a good play tonight.
Meanwhile, the New Orleans Pelicans aren’t contending for a playoff spot but they have to like what they have seen from Alexis Ajinca of late with Anthony Davis done for the season. The 27-year-old center has averaged 13.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.5 blocks and 1.0 steal while averaging 25.8 minutes per game over his last three games. We’re talking about a player who played just 13.3 minutes per game in January and 18.8 in March. With the increase in playing time, he’s become a sizable factor in NBA fantasy. Specifically for Daily Fantasy, he is a viable sleeper option with the Pelicans set to visit the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night.
Highest Scoring Game Of The Night: OKC @ POR
The Oklahoma City Thunder and Portland Trail Blazers rank second and sixth respectively in points per game this season. There is a good chance they combine for the highest scoring game of the night again on Wednesday. No superstar has been hotter of late than Kevin Durant so if you can find a way to have him in your lineup as a stud to build around then lock him in. Durant has averaged 32.7 points, 8.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 2.3 three-point shots and 1.3 steals per game over the last seven days and it would be hard to find a more productive option out there right now. Meanwhile, Damian Lillard has been a stud all season for Portland but Al-Farouq Aminu might be the better option as a strong value option. Aminu has averaged 15.0 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.0 three-point shots, 2.5 assists, 1.3 blocks and 1.3 steals per game over the last week and he is available at a very reasonable price in DraftKings Daily Fantasy Leagues right now.
