The NBA playoffs continue with a triple-header on Sunday featuring a pair of Game 7’s in the Eastern Conference and the opening game of a Western Conference second round series. That means plenty of options to choose from in NBA Fantasy Daily Leagues although the urgency that comes with a pair of Game 7’s combined with some very reasonable price tags has us banking hard on one matchup in particular when it comes to building our ideal lineup. Here is a look at the optimal lineup for Sunday’s DraftKings NBA Daily Fantasy Leagues.
PG: George Hill, Indiana
Salary: $4,700
Hill has stepped up big time for the Pacers in their first round series including hitting 16-of-28 field goal attempts over the last three games. Hill has averaged 12.7 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.7 three-point shots in the opening round and he should be locked in with Indiana set for Game 7 against the Toronto Raptors on Sunday.
SG: Klay Thompson, Golden State
Salary: $8,200
Golden State will be without Stephen Curry for its second round series with the Portland Trail Blazers but will have Thompson and home court advantage for Game 1 on Sunday. Thompson averaged 25.0 points, 3.0 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 7.0 three-point shots in the Warriors’ final two wins over the Houston Rockets and we expect him to pick up from where he left off with another strong performance.
SF: Paul George, Indiana
Salary: $10,100
George has been an absolute beast for the Pacers in their opening round series with Toronto. If there is one player to build your lineup around for Sunday it should be him. George has averaged 30.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 7.0 assists, 2.0 steals, 1.0 block and 3.0 three-point shots per game over Indiana’s last two contests and considering he could play the entire 48 minutes in Game 7 it only makes sense to expect more of the same from him on Sunday night.
PF: Myles Turner, Indiana
Salary: $5,500
This selection is all about value at a thin position as Turner is available for nearly half the price of Draymond Green yet he has performed at an incredible level over the last two games for Indiana. The 20-year-old rookie has averaged 14.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.5 blocks over his last two games for the Pacers and should be considered an excellent value option for Game 7 against Toronto.
C: Jonas Valanciunas, Toronto
Salary: $6,700
It isn’t so much that we want to ignore the other Game 7 on the board as much as we love what Valanciunas has done in this series and believe he could have his best game yet on Sunday. Valanciunas has averaged 14.2 points, 11.3 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game throughout the first six games of the opening round and we love him as a lock to produce at a very high level for Toronto on Sunday.
G: Cory Joseph, Toronto
Salary: $3,400
We considered a number of players at this extra guard position but Joseph appears to be the best fit because of his potential to produce at a high level as well as his extremely low price tag. Joseph has averaged 11.2 points, 2.2 assists, 2.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game throughout the course of the Raptors’ first round series and Toronto will need him to provide a spark off the bench in the finale.
F: Andre Iguodola, Golden State
Salary: $4,900
Iguodola has been somewhat inconsistent for the Warriors so far in the playoffs but they will need him to perform at a high level against the Trail Blazers and he could be in line for a strong performance in Game 1. Iguodola has shown flashes of what he can do including 18 points in a Game 2 win over the Rockets and 22 points in a
FLEX: Luol Deng, Miami
Salary: $6,500
It’s about time that we locked in somebody from the other Game 7 scheduled for Sunday with Deng clearly the best option in the board in terms of his upside and relatively low price tag for the FLEX position. Deng has averaged 19.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 3.0 three-point shots per game in the series and Miami will lean on him again on Sunday with the hope that he can lead them to the second round with a big win over the Hornets.
