The 2019 NBA offseason is officially the craziest ever. The Oklahoma City Thunder agreed to trade Russell Westbrook to the Houston Rockets for Chris Paul and four future picks, according to ESPN’s insider Adrian Wojnarowski.
The Oklahoma City Thunder have agreed to trade Russell Westbrook to the Houston Rockets for Chris Paul, first-round picks in 2024 and 2026, pick swaps in 2021 and 2025, league sources tell ESPN.

The rumors of a feud between Chris Paul and James Harden, and Paul’s wish to move away from the Rockets proved to be true. Russell Westbrook will team up with James Harden again after the two of them were teammates in Oklahoma in 2012. The Thunder lost the NBA Finals that season to the Miami Heat and the tandem will look to win a title this time around.
This free agency produced a bunch of big moves, so now we have four teams with superstar duos: LeBron James and Anthony Davis with the Los Angeles Lakers, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving with the Brooklyn Nets, Kawhi Leonard and Paul George with the Los Angeles Clippers, and James Harden and Russell Westbrook with the Houston Rockets.
Although Westbrook and his agent worked on a move away from the Thunder, this news was still a shock to some NBA players, so check out their reactions:
All i know is my jersey swap collection is looking kinda bootleg since FA started 😂😂😂. In 20 years ain’t no one believing those players played in those uniforms❤️

On the other hand, one non-NBA player sent a heartwarming message to Chris Paul, thanking him for all he’s done for the Houston community.
Gonna miss you @CP3. Not many people know, but CP was literally the first celebrity to reach out and donate to the hurricane fundraiser. He had just recently been traded to Houston, called up and said he wanted to help. Very first one. Absolute legend.
