The Philadelphia 76ers are the first team in the Eastern Conference that made it to the second round of the playoffs after defeating the Miami Heat 104-91 in the fifth game of the series on Tuesday, April 24. The game was tied at halftime, but the Sixers created a gap in the third quarter by scoring 34 points and allowing 20 in return, and the visitors couldn’t respond in the final period. Philadelphia shot 42% from the floor and hit seven out of 28 attempts from downtown (25%), which aren’t such good numbers, but made 29 points from the free-throw line in opposite to Miami’s 13, and that was a big difference.

Redick led the Sixers with 27 points; Joel Embiid posted a double-double of 19 points and 12 rebounds along with two steals, Ben Simmons also had a double-double of 14 points and ten boards with six assists and a couple of thefts, while Robert Covington finished the tilt with ten points, five rebounds, and three dimes. On the other hand, Kelly Olynyk led Miami with 18 points, eight rebounds, six dishes, and three steals; Tyler Johnson chipped in with 16 points, Goran Dragic scored 15 points with five dimes, while Justise Winslow had 12 points and seven boards.
