NBA reinstates Jalen Harris after a year-long doping suspension

The National Basketball Players Association and the league have both granted Jalen Harris’ request to be restored as an NBA player. That choice was announced by the league on Tuesday. On July 1, 2021, Harris was kicked out of the league for testing positive for a chemical that was against NBA/NBPA drug policy.

He was able to reapply after a year as a first-year athlete at the time. On a two-way deal, Harris averaged 7.4 points and 13.2 minutes in 13 games for Toronto in 2020–21. Additionally, he participated in two playoff games and seven regular-season games with Raptors 905 in the G League.

In 2020, Toronto selected Harris with the 59th overall pick. He played at Louisiana Tech for his first two collegiate seasons before joining Nevada in 2019–20, when he averaged 21.7 points. He will be allowed to enter the field once again thanks to this choice.
