There are seven games on the slate for Tuesday night in the NBA and that means 14 teams to take a close look at in order to determine which players are worth taking a chance on in Daily Fantasy Leagues. Kobe Bryant’s farewell tour is now officially underway and it only makes sense that his first stop this week is in his hometown. Here is a look at some important advice to consider for Tuesday’s NBA Daily Fantasy League action.
Weak Defense To Target: Los Angeles Lakers
There are a lot of things wrong with the Lakers right now but one of their biggest issues over the course of a 2-14 start has been their terrible defense. They currently rank 27th in the NBA in points per game allowed with an average of 106.0 against per game. The Philadelphia 76ers are still looking for their first win of the season and while they aren’t a team to bet on to win games if you like making money, they do have a couple of players worth taking a chance on in Daily Fantasy League action for Tuesday. You’ll want to fire up guys like Robert Covington, Isaiah Canaan and Jahlil Okafor as all of them could be reasonable options in daily fantasy. Take a look at Canaan in particular as he probably won’t cost you much in DFS. He’s averaging 17.4 points, 3.6 threes, 2.4 assists and 2.2 rebounds over his last five contests.
Player Who’s Hot Right Now: Kevin Love, Cleveland Cavaliers
Everybody knew that Love would need to take one more responsibility at the offensive end of the floor with Kyrie Irving sidelined to open the season but he has exceeded expectations with an even better start than expected and he has been particularly hot as of late. Love has averaged 24.8 points, 11.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 4.8 three-point shots per game over the past seven days so he is worth targeting for Tuesday’s action with a strong matchup against the Washington Wizards.
Injuries & Rest Create Opportunities For… Bradley Beal
Washington Wizards’ guard Bradley Beal has been outstanding since returning from injury and there is every reason to expect him to stay hot. With an injury to Gary Neal, that opens the door for him to play even more minutes this week. Neal missed Saturday’s game with a groin strain and Beal scored 20 points with six rebounds, six assists and three steals in 41 minutes of action. Look for another strong stat line when Washington clashes with Cleveland on Tuesday night as he’s going to get all of the minutes he can handle.
Meanwhile, Kobe confirmed that he plans to retire after this season and that means Tuesday night will mark his final game in his hometown of Philadelphia. Bryant hasn’t exactly been lighting it up this season but he has averaged 12.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.3 three-point shots per game over the last week of action. He could break through with his strongest fantasy stat line of the year with the opportunity to put up big numbers against the winless 76ers in front of his hometown crowd. Philadelphia is giving up 102.8 points per game this season, which ranks them in a tie for 21st.

Highest Scoring Game Of The Night: ORL @ MIN
The Orlando Magic and Minnesota Timberwolves both rank in the top third of the NBA in points per game this season and we expect plenty of scoring when they clash on Tuesday night. This is a game that has the potential to have the highest combined total. Andrew Wiggins, Zach LaVine and Gorgui Dieng have been on fire for the Timberwolves over the last week and should all produce strong stat lines at home. Meanwhile, it’s also worth considering Victor Oladipo and Nikola Vucevic as they have been the two of the Magic’s top fantasy performers and should be able to keep it up in this high-scoring affair.
