The Vanderbilt Commodores will host the Ole Miss Rebels (-20) at Vanderbilt Stadium on Saturday with coverage on ESPN starting at 4:30 PM ET. Ole Miss will be a solid favorite at BetDSI considering last week’s results for both teams.
Rebels with a Cause
Ole Miss is coming off a 35-13 payout over Boise State as 9.5 point favorites as QB Bo Wallace overcame a shaky start to finish with 387 yards passing and four TD passes. Vanderbilt is coming off a 37-7 home loss to Temple as 8.5 point favorites in a stunning upset that was no fluke as they were outgained 351-278. James Franklin is the only coach to escape Vandy a winner and this defeat had the look of all of Vanderbilt’s losing ways from the past. The past three seasons of bowl games under Franklin were an aberration as this is a program that went to one bowl between 1983 and 2010.

Vanderbilt has been a solid board value at home with 13 payouts in their last 20 games at Vanderbilt Stadium with six out of their last nine home games going over the total. The Rebels, conversely, have been a solid road team on the betting board with seven payouts in their last 11 away games as just three out of their last 13 away games have gone over the total. Vanderbilt has maintained long term profitability against Ole Miss with ten payouts in the last 13 meetings as six out of the last eight meetings between the Commodores and Rebels have gone under the total.
