NCAAF Picks: Georgia Looks to Maintain Division Lead Against Florida

NCAAF Picks: Will Muschamp is considered to be a dead man walking at Florida but if his Gators can pull off an upset of the Georgia Bulldogs, then all of that could change, at least temporarily. Georgia will not be easy to beat however as they are one of the top tier teams in the SEC that is looking for their second East Division title in three seasons.

The Gators will face the Bulldogs at EverBank Field in Jacksonville on Saturday in what is referred to as “The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party.” Coverage on CBS starts at 3:30 PM ET. Georgia opened as a 12.5-point favorite.

Gators have no Chomp on Offense

Florida is 3-3 straight up, 2-4 against the spread, and 5-1 over the total.   The Gators are coming off a 42-13 home loss to Mizzou that must go down as one of their worst performances in program history. Florida has never developed an offense since Muschamp took over and that has been a major factor in their decline as a program. The Gators rank 99th overall for total offense while ranking 12th for total defense. Treon Harris takes over for the beleaguered Jeff Driskel at QB this week.

Bulldogs Rolling

Georgia is 6-1 SU, 4-3 ATS, and 6-1 over the total after a 45-32 payout at Arkansas which was their second cover in a row. Georgia leads the East Division and ranks ninth for scoring offense and 19th for scoring defense. Although former Heisman Trophy candidate Todd Gurley is out on suspension the Bulldogs haven’t missed a beat on offense.

Matchup and NCAAF Picks
Georgia has lost just two out of their last six away games against the spread with four out of their last five away games going over the total.

Florida has been one of the worst bets on the board in games away from home. The Gators have come away with the money in just two out of their last 15 away games. Florida has gone over the total in six out of their last seven away matchups.

Florida has failed to get the money in their last three matchups with Georgia as all three of those games went under the total. Georgia gets our call in this one.
