The NCAA Football Throwdown Podcast has reached episode 12 of the new season.
Each Tuesday, our hosts Ej the Rainmaker and Erik the Hun rewind the clock, and review the past week. Conference play is all around us, as the college football season nears the half way point of the regular season.
As is the norm on Tuesday’s, after we review the games past we start to look towards this week. The hosts issue out their plays for the Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday games, therefore #MoneyTreesGrow.
The most noteworthy game of the four, comes on Thursday when Louisville plays host to N.C State. The Wolfpack have never beaten Louisville in the regular season, carrying an 0 – 6 record into the meeting. The only win the Wolfpack has garnered against Louisville, came in the Belk Bowl back in 2011, however.
We send out a BIG SALUTE TO THE IOWA HAWKEYES! The new tradition of waving to the kids watching the game above from the Children’s Hospital. Thanks to ESPN for showing the segment last week, we all got to see the first quarter tradition in Iowa.
Get ready for our ‘Who’s the Dummy’ segment again! Three candidates were nominated this week, although one one came away with the spoils. Tune in to find out what Head Coach completely dropped the ball himself this past Saturday.
The Throwdown Podcast concludes with picks and predictions for the games mentioned during the week. Arkansas State hosts Georgia Southern on Wednesday, as Louisville hosts N.C State on Thursday. The two Friday games will be Memphis vs UConn, in addition to BYU hosting Boise State.
The quarterback situation at BYU is getting hairy, so the guys discuss the 0 – 4 start to their season.
Major League Baseball finds its way to the show, as the playoffs get underway tonight. Yankee Stadium will set the stage for the American League Playoff game between the Bombers and Twins.
