New York Knicks – Boston Celtics Preview – 03.04.2016

The New York Knicks will be at the TD Garden to challenge a divisional foe in the Boston Celtics. Action starts at 7:30 pm ET on Friday, Mar. 4 and will air on CNE, MSG, #0 and C+D.

The Celtics won big over the Trail Blazers 116-93 on Wednesday. Isaiah Thomas led all scorers on the team with 30 points on 11-for-20 shooting. The Knicks, meanwhile, are coming off an ugly 104-85 loss to that same Trail Blazers squad on Tuesday. Carmelo Anthony scored 23 points and recorded 10 rebounds earning his 20th double-double of the season.

Over the last five games, Jae Crowder has been playing at a high level for the Celtics. During that stretch, he has averaged 19.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.8 steals, and 2.2 three-pointers.

The Celtics defense could make it difficult on New York’s shooters. They rank fourth in the NBA in forcing misses (opponents’ effective field goal percentage of 48.0%), while the New York offense is 28th with a mark of 48.0%.
