New York Mets – Atlanta Braves Preview – 09.10.2016

John Gant (1-3, 4.70 ERA) and Bartolo Colon (13-7, 3.22 ERA) take the hill in the second of a three-game series between the Atlanta Braves (54-87) and the New York Mets (75-66) at Turner Field. The Mets won the last game 6-4, continuing a six-game winning streak. Action begins at 7:10 p.m. ET on Saturday, Sep. 10 and can be seen on WPIX and FSSO.

Gant pitched 5.0 innings in his last outing, surrendering four runs (one unearned), striking out six and walking one in a 6-4 win over the Phillies. Freddie Freeman (.292, 87 Rs, 29 HRs, 73 RBIs, 4 SBs) went 1 for 5 yesterday with one run. Colon went 6.0 innings, surrendering zero runs, striking out two and walking one in a 5-0 win over the Reds in his most recent start. Yoenis Cespedes (.294, 60 Rs, 28 HRs, 72 RBIs, 2 SBs) has been successful at the plate for the Mets, going 2 for 4 yesterday with one run and one RBI.
