The home teams are getting a lot of respect in Week 1 as there are only three road favorites. And two of the road favorites are no surprise as the New England Patriots and San Francisco 49ers are two of the top choices in Super Bowl odds. The other road favorite is the Carolina Panthers and they could be overvalued. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a new head coach in Lovie Smith, a new quarterback in Josh McCown and a vastly improved defense. It would not be a surprise to see the Tampa Bay Buccaneers end up as the favorite come September so you may want to take the points now.
