A calf injury cost Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck most of his offseason work, but unless there’s some unforeseen problem, he’s expected to be full go at training camp.
While the Colts have been careful with Luck’s calf, reportedly he could have played through it if it happened in the regular season. It made sense not to take any chances as the team just got Luck back last year after missing all of 2017 with a shoulder injury. You have to be careful with your expensive toys.
The #Colts made one PUP move today, and it didn’t involve QB Andrew Luck, who is good to go for training camp, I’m told. They held him out of spring practices with a minor calf injury that wouldn’t have kept him out of games. Ready to roll #asexpected

Luck bounced right back to Pro Bowl form after his year-long absence. He led Indianapolis back to the playoffs with a 10-6 record, completing 67.3 percent of his passes for 4,593 yards, 39 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. It was the second-highest touchdown total of his career.
Julian Edelman’s thumb to cost him camp practices
Super Bowl LIII Most Valuable Player Julian Edelman will have a little more time to spend with the truck he won as he’ll be held out of training camp for a while with an injured thumb. The New England Patriots star wideout has been seen wearing a brace on his hand in recent days.
Edelman will have to get his work in coaching up his fellow young receivers, most notably first round pick N’Keal Harry out of Arizona State. The Pats are also bringing in free agent wide receiver Justin Hunter for a workout.
With #Patriots WR Julian Edelman’s thumb ailing and keeping him off the field, New England worked out free agent WR Justin Hunter today, source said. He’s played for the #Steelers the last two seasons.

Julio Jones and Deion Jones both rehabbing foot injuries
One has a new contract, the other is about to get one. Neither guy is ready to be a full participant in practice just yet. Both wide receiver Julio Jones and safety Deion Jones were held out of Atlanta Falcons practices due to foot injuries.
