If the New England Patriots aren’t planning on playing Antonio Brown, they certainly aren’t acting like it. Brown, according to the NFL Network, will be making the trip with the team to Miami as they take on the Dolphins Sunday.

Head coach Bill Belichick, while reluctant to talk about Brown’s alleged rape and sexual assault, was more forthcoming this week about the receiver’s issues picking up the offense.
“Obviously, he’s not familiar with our offense,” Belichick said Friday. “The systems that he’s been in have been quite different. Jon (Gruden) does the West Coast offense, which there’s very little carryover from their system to our system. Not bad or good, just we’ve had players before. It’s just not all going to carry over, and a similar thing in Pittsburgh. You know, he’s working hard to pick it up, and we’re working hard to get it to him. … We try to get him caught up to speed as quickly as you can. It’s too much ground to make up in a few days, but we do the best we can and we’ll see how it goes.”
He’ll be in Miami and not on the Commissioner’s Exempt list, so we’ll probably find out Sunday “how it goes.”
Johnathan Abram fined for hit against DaeSean Hamilton
The NFL is fining Oakland Raiders safety Johnathan Abram for a hit that actually ended the rookie’s season. And that injury might be what keeps Abram from paying the $28,075 fine levied by the league.
Abram injured his rotator cuff during the hit, so he obviously feels that proves he didn’t lead with his helmet, as he’s being accused, but instead his shoulder. Otherwise, how would he injure his shoulder? Needless to say, he’s appealing the fine.
A huge blow.

Abram had season-ending surgery on said shoulder Friday.
