All-Universe inside linebacker Bobby Wagner is entering the final year of his contract with the Seattle Seahawks, the team that drafted him in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft. With a possible holdout on the table, Wagner has decided to report to camp as he hopes to work out a new deal with the only NFL team for which he’s ever played.
#Seahawks star LB Bobby Wagner is expected to show up for training camp tomorrow, sources say, because of the kind of leader he is and wanting to be there with his teammates. He may not put himself in harm’s way until a deal gets done, and he’ll be cautious. But he’ll be there.

Make no mistake, if the Seahawks aren’t willing to pay Wagner, and they might not be, some other team will jump at the chance. Wagner is unquestionably one of the best inside linebackers in the game and arguably the best playing right now. He’s one of the handful of players EA Sports game a 99 rating in Madden 20 and was highest graded linebacker in the league by Pro Football Focus.

Wagner’s goal is to become the highest paid linebacker in the NFL. Currently, C.J. Mosely of the New York Jets lays claim to that honor, pocketing $17 million a season. Seattle has not been afraid to let pricey defenders walk in recent years and let safety Earl Thomas, also one of the best in the league, walk this offseason.
Last season Wagner recorded 138 tackles, six for a loss, a sack, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, 11 passes defended, one interception and one defensive touchdown.
Ronald Darby on Eagles’ PUP list
Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Ronald Darby will open camp on the team’s physically unable to perform list, with his targeted return still Week One of the 2019 NFL season.
Health updates: #Eagles CB Ronald Darby (ACL) is expected to start training camp on PUP, source said, but being active Week 1 is still a legit possibility. … Meanwhile, #Packers starting CB Kevin King (shoulder) will be active and healthy to begin training camp.
