In a move that should surprise absolutely no one, Robert Nkemdiche has busted out with the Arizona Cardinals. After showing up to camp out of shape and after a recent run-in with the law, Nkemdiche was finally shown the door Saturday night.
Nkemdiche was a first round pick in 2016 out of Ole Miss with all the talent needed to make it in the NFL and none of the heart. He played in just 27 games in his first three seasons out of a possible 48 and started just six, all last season, before tearing his ACL. Before he went down, he recorded 32 tackles, nine for a loss, 4.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one pass defense. Those aren’t bad numbers.

That should have boded well for his chances to make the team in 2019, but he put on weight while recovering from his knee injury and was busted for driving with a suspended license and outstanding warrant back in June.
Nkemdiche will likely find a home with another team after he clears waivers and all his current contract’s provisions are erased. Maybe on a league minimum deal, with the prospect of being in the real world and getting an actual job staring him in the face, he’ll get more motivated to make the most of his career.
Tyreek Hill speaks to media Sunday
Tyreek Hill addressed the media Sunday and spoke for the first time about the off-the-field accusations that surrounded him this offseason. A month ago, the NFL decided they couldn’t find enough evidence to punish him after an incident in which his son ended up with a broken arm.
Tyreek Hill thanks the #Chiefs organization and even Roger Goodell. Vows to keep growing as a person, like the way a tree adds layers as it grows. “I’m back. The Cheetah is back, man.”

Hill was banned from all team activities until the NFL cleared him.
“I can’t wait for my new journey, man. I’m excited,” Hill said. “I’m working every day to be a better father, a better person, a better citizen, a better teammate and a better son, too, to my parents. I’m evolving every day.”
