He was a much-needed pass rushing addition this offseason for the Dallas Cowboys, but Robert Quinn will be up on blocks until at least Week 1. The two-time Pro Bowler and 2013 All Pro fractured his hand in a training camp drill against left tackle Tyron Smith Tuesday.
While Quinn will be held out of the rest of the preseason, he should be ready for live action when the regular season begins. The Cowboys acquired the former first-rounder from the Miami Dolphins with a 2020 sixth round pick.
Robert Quinn has a fracture of his hand. Stephen Jones said he expects Quinn to undergo surgery. Jones expects him to be ready for Week 1.

Last year with the Dolphins, Quinn finished with 38 tackles, nine for a loss, two forced fumbles and 6.5 sacks. Quinn was originally a first-round pick by the St. Louis Rams in 2011.
With Quinn sidelined, Taco Charlton, their first round pick out of MIchigan from last season, should see plenty of reps, along with 2019 fifth rounder Joe Jackson and 2018 fourth rounder Dorance Armstrong.
In other Cowboys news, the team signed offensive lineman Lukays McNeil to a free agent contract. McNeil adds depth and insurance as guard Zack Martin continues to deal with back issues. McNeil spent the early part of training camp with the Oakland Raiders.
