Week 2’s loss to the Atlanta Falcons took a serious toll on the Philadelphia Eagles. Not only did quarterback Carson Wentz get knocked from the game for a time, but they’ve now lost wide receiver DeSean Jackson for at least a game thanks to a groin injury.
Jackson appeared in just two plays against Atlanta. He returned to the team as a free agent this offseason after spending the five years with the Washington Redskins and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
DeSean Jackson has an abdominal strain that is expected to sideline him for about two weeks, according to sources.

Jackson has eight catches this season for 154 yards and two touchdowns.
The Eagles did get some good news with their other pass-catchers. Alshon Jeffery and tight end Dallas Goedert will be full go Sunday.
Steelers keep Johnson in the line up
With free agent pick up Donte Moncrief all but playing for the opposing team, the Pittsburgh Steelers are moving rookie Diontae Johnson into the starting line up.
Johnson is a third round pick out of Toledo. In the team’s Week 2 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, he played 25 snaps. He has four catches for 42 yards this season.
“They just put me in there and told me I’m the starter from here on out."

“I’m just trying to do what I can,” Johnson said. “Just trying to continue to show the coaches that I know what I’m doing, and get ready for Sunday.”
Johnson will likely claim the slot since James Washington probably should have been starting over Moncrief to begin with. JuJu Smith-Schuster has the other side locked down.
