NFL News: A Dolphins Mutiny Over Laremy Tunsil?

Brian Hoyer Colts

As the trade speculation ramps up for Houston Texans pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney, another name keeps getting mentioned in any swap scenario, offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil.

Tunsil, of course, starts for the Miami Dolphins and the Fins have made no secret their desire to add Clowney to their roster, even meeting with him at one point this offseason. The rumors are that Miami would include Tunsil in any trade scenario with the Texans. There’s just one problem; his teammates.

According to the Miami Herald, Tunsil is so popular in the Dolphins locker room that any move to let him go could cause a player revolt.

“The backlash (from trading Tunsil) would be amazing,” a source told Adam Beasley. “Guys would legit revolt.”

Clowney, ultimately controls his own destiny. He hasn’t signed his franchise tender and won’t until he decides he wants to stay in Houston or approves of the team they’re trading him to. He’s due to make $16 million on the tag and is looking for long-term deal in the Frank Clark range at $20 million a season.
