It’s a different world in the NFL and the players, the really good ones, have learned that the squeaky wheel not only gets the grease, but also can get moved to greener pastures if he’s fed up with his current circumstances. Is that the case with New York Jets safety Jamal Adams?
The answer is; nobody knows.
But there are some clues out there Tuesday morning after the team’s 23-3 loss to the Cleveland Browns. Adams has unfollowed the New York Jets on Instagram and taken the team out of his bio.

I know. Stop the presses. But for players of this era, and Adams’ age, this is a meaningful move. So far, at least, Adams continues to follow the Jets on Twitter.
In two games, Adams has 11 tackles, one for a loss and one pass defense. He was the No. 6 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.
Charlton asks to be released
He’s not as high a profile as Adams, Brown or Fitzpatrick, but former Dallas Cowboys first round pick Taco Charlton is just as unhappy. After being inactive for the first two weeks of the season, the 2017 first rounder has asked the team to release him.
Trust me the last thing I want to do is to have to go to social media to get what I want so I can play football again.

The Cowboys have fielded trade inquiries for Charlton’s services even before the release request, but it’s doubtful they could recoup a first rounder. Charlton played in 11 games last season and started seven, recording 27 tackles, five for a loss, one fumble recovery, one pass defense and one sack.
Jets lose another quarterback
With starter Sam Darnold already out with mono, the New York Jets turned to back up and former Denver Broncos starter Trevor Siemian. That barely lasted a half as Siemian went down with what looked like a season-ending ankle injury in Monday night’s game against the Cleveland Browns.
Jets’ QB Trevor Siemian is scheduled to undergo an MRI on his ankle Tuesday, per source.

Siemian is had an MRI Tuesday morning, but anything less than some kind of fracture will be a startling piece of luck for a franchise that hasn’t had much in the last two decades. Before leaving the game, Siemian was 3-for-6 for three yards. He was replaced by Luke Falk. Falk went 20-of-25 for 198 yards finishing out the game.
