Chances are if you had the first or second pick in your fantasy football draft last season, you took then Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell. After Bell didn’t report and never played a down for the Steelers in 2019, you obviously wasted your pick and were probably a tad upset.
If that pertains to you, Bell wants you to know that you are seen. Your pain has been felt and he really wants to make it up to you.
this is loooong overdue!! but I want to take a moment to apologize to all the fantasy owners who picked me last year, I’m sorry I couldn’t pull through for y’all…but trust me, this year’s about to be wayyyy different, I’m bringing the 🏆🏆 this year 😈😈 pic.twitter.com/IvANCzwJ6F

Bell is now a member of the New York Jets, in Adam Gase’s offense, after signing a four-year, $13.125 million contract this offseason. Considering there’s not really a star anywhere else on the roster, Bell’s probably going to get a lot of work.
Two seasons ago, Bell carried the ball 321 times for 1,291 yards and nine touchdowns, catching 85 passes for 655 yards and two touchdowns in 15 games. With Gase’s creativity (and the lack of other potential playmakers), Bell should top that easily.
Patriots and Marcus Cannon agree on restructured deal
The New England Patriots are masters of manipulating the salary cap and restructure deals constantly to stay within the NFL’s payment perimeters. Monday, the team and right tackle Marcus Cannon did the deed, with the offensive lineman now holding a new deal worth $24 million with incentives through the 2021 season. His guaranteed cash this season is $4.5 million.

Kevin Hogan gets QB nod from Broncos in Hall of Fame Game
With the first NFL preseason game already upon us, the Denver Broncos are going with Kevin Hogan at quarterback in Thursday Night’s Hall of Fame game, over rookie Drew Locke. Presumptive starter Joe Flacco won’t even suit up.
Kevin Hogan is starting in the Hall of Fame Game on Thursday for the #Broncos, as would be expected at this point.

Locke, along with fellow rookie Brett Rypien, will both see plenty of playing time. Hogan was a fifth round pick in 2016 by the Cleveland Browns out of Stanford. He made one start in 2017 and has a career completion percentage of 59.4 percent with four touchdowns and seven interceptions.
