NFL News: Nick Bosa Ankle Injury “Significant” and More

Vinatieri Colts

Is Nick Bosa officially “injury prone?” Both he and the San Francisco 49ers will be dealing with that question until he’s healthy and on the field in the regular season after it was revealed that the ankle injury he suffered in practice Wednesday is more serious than previously thought.

It’s being called “significant” and the first round pick will now sit and rehab all preseason.

Bosa missed most of last season at Ohio State with a hamstring injury, only playing in three games. He recorded 14 tackles and six for a loss with four sacks.

Now the questions on how effective a season Bosa is going to have with the 49ers.

“We don’t feel he’s injury prone,” San Francisco general manager John Lynch said. “Yesterday, he had a big human being fall on his leg while he was engaged with someone else.”

He better hope.
