Robert Alford has brought the Atlanta Falcons bad defensive back luck with him to the Arizona Cardinals. The Falcons are all but famous for losing multiple corners and safeties to injuries of late, but Alford, in his six years with the team, didn’t have much trouble.
Now, after getting signed to a three-year, $24 million contract by the Arizona Cardinals, that Falcon bug finally bit him. According to reports, Alford fractured his tibia and will be out a while.
The Cards really needed Alford to suit up. Patrick Peterson will have to sit the first six games of the regular season on a suspension. Now, it’s up to Byron Murphy or Tremaine Brock to pick up the slack at corner.
For #AZCardinals CB Robert Alford, he suffered a tibia fracture, source said. Based on an early time table, he could come off IR in the second half of 2019. Expect a lot of Tramaine Brock and rookie Byron Murphy early.
