For a former first round pick, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Laquon Treadwell is quickly heading to bust territory unless he can get a change of scenery. The Vikings are offering just that, reportedly putting the former Ole Miss star on the trading block.
Treadwell was originally selected with the 23rd overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft and for good reason. As a senior with the rebels, he caught 82 passes for 1,153 yards and 11 touchdowns.

In three years in the NFL, he’s not even hit half that and has a total of one TD, caught last season. You could say that 2018 was a career year for Treadwell as he reached highs in catches with 35 and yards with 302. It’s not been great.
Still, there was a reason he was so highly touted out of college and at 6-2, 215, he’s got all the tools. Maybe a new venue will pull that production out of him. The New York Giants are very receiver poor at the moment and should hit the phones on a wideout that could be had for a fifth or sixth round pick.
Personally, I’d like to see him end up in Green Bay or Cincinnati with one of Sean McVay’s disciples. The Los Angeles Rams would be a great fit too, but they’re loaded at wide receiver, four deep with NFL starting talent.
